Classroom Policies

We are excited to be part of your South Carolina Real Estate journey. Please review the general classroom policies below.

STUDENT CONDUCT

The David Lloyd School for Real Estate prepares students for a successful real estate career in South Carolina. Students are expected to demonstrate professional decorum at all times. Any disruptions, unlawful, unprofessional or unethical, is a disservice to all students, instructors, visitors, and the school.

DRESS CODE

While we do not have an official dress code describing acceptable apparel, unacceptable apparel includes anything deemed inappropriate. Inappropriate is defined as showing private body parts or displaying derogatory, explicit, or offensive clothing (offensive by race, sex, religion, nationality, creed, disability, and sexual orientation).

ATTENDANCE POLICY

All attendees are required to complete 60 hours of classroom instruction for Unit I and 30 hours for Unit II. Therefore everyone must be accounted. All attendees are expected to arrive within 10 minutes of class instruction. They are expected to sign in at the front office upon arrival to receive credit towards course completion. Any student who does not sign the attendance sheet will be marked as absent.

Late arrivals and early departures must make up any time missed. Get with the office manager to schedule an appropriate time. We understand that urgent situations may come up. Therefore students are allowed two (2) excused absences if we are notified within 24 hours of the absence. Excused absence hours must be made up before the end of the scheduled course.

Because we only have attendees for a short amount of time, unexcused absences are not allowed. Any unexcused absences is grounds for being dropped from the course without a refund of tuition. We respect the time of our attendees and want to ensure that only serious attendees want to pursue a successful real estate career.

IN-CLASS POLICY

The David Lloyd School for Real Estate is now responsible for lost or stolen property on the school grounds, including parking lot. Personal technology, such as cell phones, laptops, and computers, are brought at your own discretion. Those devices must remain on silent mode throughout the duration of class, unless breaks are taken. Recording of courses is prohibited at all times.

EXAM POLICY

All students are required to pass a class exam to receive credit towards applying for a South Carolina Real Estate License. A passing grade of 70% (of 100%) is required to receive an official Real Estate Completion Certificate. One makeup exam will be given within 30 days if a passing grade is not received. Exams are given on the last day of class. One makeup exam will be granted to any student who does not achieve the 70% or above passing grade at no additional cost. Makeup exams must be taken within thirty (30) days of failing. If a second make-up exam is necessary, the student will be assessed a $50.00 non-refundable exam processing fee. Should a student fail the exam twice, he or she must take the course over and pay full tuition again.

COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY

The David Lloyd School for Real Estate reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course at our discretion. If a course is canceled or rescheduled prior to course completion, students would be entitled to a full tuition refund if they are not at liberty to reschedule.

REFUND POLICY

Students may receive a full tuition refund if they provide written notice within 72 hours prior to start date of course. Students withdrawing from a course with less than 72 hours notice will receive a 50% refund. No refunds after the course begins. As an alternative, tuition may be transferred to another appropriate date within one year of withdrawal. An administrative transfer fee of $25.00 would be required. Any tuition transfers not utilized within one year are forfeited to the David Lloyd School for Real Estate.
